Cheers to the original poster, I'd been looking for the "One Rode to Asa Bay" Video for years, never thought to check you tube Here's a few of my favorite videos http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1457031438915997130&q=therionTherion - Birth of Venus Illegitima I don't know what it is about her but I find Martina Astner incredibly sexy in this video, she's not the most atractive singer out there but the way she dances is just so sensual http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82j69BcBj88Samael - Jupeterian Vibe Great song and the video is pretty good as well, not high budget or anything, but still pretty decent, I love the shot towards the end with the fish swimming pasts the camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iEumr2P50oMelechesh - Hymn to Gibil Black metal from Israel, this is old melechesh before Proscriptor joined and they still wore corpse paint, pretty intense video I love the ending http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ce0LtolCsLcAt the Drive-in One Armed Scissor I really like this clip, not sure why http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBfxOnhjVmkMegadeth - Peace Sells Classic song, I love the video too "Turn on the news" "This is the news!"

They said the would avoid anything in the Directors series, which has Jonze and Anton Corbijn. But there are a couple by Spike Jonze in the list! 'Shady Lane' by Pavement and 'Triumph of a Heart' by Bjork, at least. But those videos aren't on the Jonze DVD, which does have weezer.

Gryff, that's awesome, thank you. I like how the host is doing everything he can to humorize Zappa's intent, even though Zappa looks dead serious about. Anyway, here's my contribution: Tom Waits - I Don't Wanna Grow Up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzKiqk2iynYTom Waits in heels? Scary as Hell.

Fuckin' A man, thank you so very much! You totally rule, no kidding. Part 1 is a real gas, Steve Allen is such a character. Lexington - Isn't he amazing? On his site he has the full clip with him talking about the various gadgets he's using and his musical "mission statement".

Black metal from Israel Actually, they moved to Europe because of all the truble they had with the police and with jewish orthodoxs in Jerusalem. If you like them I suggest you try Bartholomeus Night. I mean, they're opening to Attila Csihar and Stephen O'Malley in their upcoming concert in Jerusalem. Anyway, this is probably one of my favorite videos of all time. Air - All I Need

Whats the music scene in Israel like? Only other band I know is Salem. I'd like to think that we have a pretty good Metal scene. Betzefer signed to Roudrunner records and realesed an album there. Orphaned Land is pretty big in Europe, and realesed an album in Century Media. OL even played live in Wacken and Brutal Assult this year. We have a lot of smaller bands, mainly death and black but some of them are pretty good. Not that innovative or avante-grade but still good. Most of the metal scene are highschool kids though, maily because people who were into metal get into other music or just stop listening to metal during their military service. There is a big noise/drone/power-electronics scene here. Not big in numbers, but the quality of the albums realese within the scene is really amazing. Here is a review of a noise/power-electronics album. Check them out if your into noise. Anyway, Here's Orphaned Land - Ocean Land

hey kids, i made this one for a melbourne band called Yidcore (yup, it's Jewish punk at it's finest) last year. The song's a cover of an old Kylie Minogue song, and the video is...romantically linked sock puppets that really look like the people from the band.. so here goes, Yidcore - Especially For You http://users.tpg.com.au/mcbock/portfolio/port_yidcore.html

This thread is severely lacking Meshuggah, who happen to have made one of the best videos ever. Especially if you apply the bang for the buck factor. Meshuggah - New Millenium Cyanide ChristThe video for Terminal Illusions is also awesome. edit: And when it comes to videos as such, Pulp's Bad Cover Version is pretty damn funny as well.

Flight of the Conchords show"the almost award-winning, fourth-most-popular folk duo in New Zealand" Saw these guys in Australia, they're ridiculously funny. Awesome that they've got signed to do a series on HBO. Not that I have any idea if that's a big deal in the States, but it sounds like it is??

Some of my favourite discoveries are... Elliott Smith playing a rock version of "Needle in the Hay". The highly entertaining antics of At the Drive-In and The Dillinger Escape Plan playing live. Insanity.

Here are 2 vids I like for their awesome, swirling graphics - first one tranquil, the second intense. I saw the Autechre vid in a movie theatre and my god it was full on! To Rococo Rot - TelemaAutechre - Gantz GrafI love when the shape in Telema suddenly breaks down into a pile of cats! Chic - Le FreakAlso digging this, although it gets boring. Love Bernard's look, but Nile lays down the best guitar riff ever. Wish I could find the video of him explaining that this originally went "aaaaaah fuck off!" That would've been a slightly different vibe. Herbie Hancock demonstrating a Fairlight on Sesame StBest watch ever and he seems like such a nice guy. Stevie Wonder doing a robot version of The CarpentersKicks ass, kinda puts what Zapp did in perspective. Not to mention that Peter Frampton fucker. Edit: One more, the first video I can remember really getting excited about at the tender age of 12. Prince - Sign 'O' The TimesThe idea of a music vid that didn't involve the artist performing the song really did my head in, not to mention how bleak the song is, lyrically.

I'm going to post a video that I think is actually jaw-dropping here: The Beatles - Revolution 2There are several things that astonish me here. 1. The guitar tones are absolutely dead on. 2. The vocals are utterly faultless. 3. It sounds ALMOST exactly like the original, but just different enough that you know they're not miming. If you think they are, you're an asshole and you aren't paying enough attention. 4. This performance comes having stopped touring for two years. This astonishes me, no wonder the Beatles broke touring records and were the biggest band ever, they're the tightest live band to ever exist.

That Zlad song is done by some Australians who do these piss-take travel guides for fictional countries. The Eastern European one is for Molvania, this is their Eurovision song entry. Pretty funny, but kinda disappointed they continued with other books - surely the joke doesn't stretch that far?? If you check out some bona fide Euro disco from the 80s, it's really not so different. I go on binges of watching this stuff. My favourite is this one but cred points go to Giorgio Moroder and his phalanx of synths. How about a George Bush speech edited to sing the entirety of U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday? The joke gets kind of boring, but the editor really does manage to get in every lyric.
