Man, just had a huge flashback... I was watching a TV show in the 80s with David Copperfield levitating across the Grand Canyon while big-haired Bonnie sang this song on the far side... scary stuff.  Even at the time we knew it was ridiculously fake.

Just did a Google search to confirm I'm not going insane, the thing is here if anyone dares to dig through the 40 minute episode.

Jim Steinman has a lot to answer for.  angry  As does Ricardo Montalban.   grin

Here's the Scissor Sisters in a psychedelic homage to some classic film scenes in the music video I Don't Feel Like Dancin', from this year's album Ta-Dah. It's off of rage, and it's quite dancey. Just check out Jake Shears swingin in a glossy purple jumpsuit. It makes me wanna dance!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksdmt_Abu4c

As for "Holding Out for a Hero", I realized belatedly that in that video, Johnny Five was not going to swing onto the scene and save the day.  sad

I don't see why, I was there at Lolla and it was a great performance.  I agree that I like the Radiohead version more... but it was still a good cover.  (I like Spencer the best from Panic! btw, you got a favorite?)

I wasn't able to look at all these, zere is way too much! I can tell that if i stick around here i will potentially be able to extend my musical experience far beyond what i have already. Mostly i just scanned through this thread to make sure i wouldn't be making a redundant post, but on the way i checked this one out:

AMAZING.  I can't tear my eyes away from my screen.

Breathtaking.

I also like this fan video of Bright Eyes' "Sunrise, Sunset". Even though they're not so much my favorite band.

Ruoska - Mies yli laidan
Cradle of Filth - No Time To Cry

And then something completely different and utterly confusing:

Juicy Panic - Triffle Triffle
Juicy Panic - You drive me oh oh oh

My favorite videos ever! I'm a big fan of Juicy Panic. (YouTube is in serious lack of Juicy Panic!)

Kudo's for the awesome FZ videos! I idolize that man. That Resident's vid on the first page was also really cool, one of the wierdest bands ever.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ix-RedBjIGQ Frank Zappa's "The Black Page" for any drummer's on the board. I've been playing for six years, and it took me two months just to be able to play it through, and even then it's still pretty unpolished. Oh, and please forgive the sound quality, it's the only vid I could find of the original Black Page.

Cansei der Ser Sexy "Lets Make Love (While listening to death from above)"
Lets just say I won the "I'm more indy than you contest" and continue with my play list.

Simon and Garfunkle at the 2003 Grammys "Sound of Silence"

Ok, nothing more can be said than this Paul Simon is among the greatest lyricists of all time, Simon and Garfunkle was just an amazing combination.

Rush - Tom Sawyer
Damn good listen always entertains me.

Jethro Tull - Skating Away (on the thin ice of a new day)

Ian Anderson does sound older in this one but the power of the song is still there.

Carl Orff - O Fortuna

The only operetic I have ever seen performed (in the Heidelberg Schloss none the less) Damn good powerful as hell. This is the best version I could find on You Tube. It's a damn perfect performance

This about does it for me right now, I could post far more, I've spent hours looking at music vids on You Tube...but here's a good one

This is my goal in life to be this good
