Death of the innocent

« on: November 08, 2006, 01:42:12 PM »

I'm an OiNK user and I have the choice of a couple of different formats for JAMC's album Psychocandy.  I don't want to download more than one copy because it's bad for the old ratio, so I was wondering if someone who has heard both version could tell me:  Is the remaster that much better quality and, if it is, is the fact that it lacks "Some Candy Talking" from side one a big deal?  Basically, is cutting this song from the original record worth the increase in sound quality?  Thanks in advance.

Some Candy Talking is one of my favourite JAMC tracks, so i'd say no.

Yeah, I've never heard the remastered version but Some Candy Talking might be my favorite track on the whole album.

While JMC may be one of the few bands that needs a bit o remastering, it's onyl if you want the CD. The CD's actually fuck the distortion until it's almost unlistenable. So if you need it for you ol pod download the remaster, but for home use; get he black circle.

I have an unremastered CD copy and it really doesn't sound all that good, but I still love the album. I'll probably get the vinyl myself one of these days.
