The challenge is pretty self explanatory. Or slightly less so. Find some free time this month to write and record an album in less than 24 hours.
The requirements are that there is 30 minutes of original compositions. That is the only requirement. Anything else goes.
Then, when you're sure it's done, post the result! It doesn't matter if it's terrible.
It could be a concept album played entirely using spoons or kitchen utensils, a 30 minute spoken word piece, a short story rehearsed with friends with musical interludes, even 'thumping techno' if that's what you're into.
I'm in. Who else is?

Can I do it as real songs, but using Guitar Pro (I'll export it as a MIDI file I guess)? The only mic I have is attached to my headset, and that barely even picks up my own voice, let alone a guitar.

It would be better than nothing, but you'd be kinda missing actual point of the challenge. Which is to produce 30+ minutes of music. If you can't manage 30, get involved anyway, because it's fun! You just won't have completed the challenge.

Yeah, that'd be a luxury, wouldn't it? Trust me man, I would - and have - record gangsta rap to a beat slapped on a fucking biscuit tin if this computer would let me, but for some reason it just won't let any sound into it and I've given up trying. Once I get my own goddamn computer though... watch out, mu'fuckassssss. |
