I'm seeing Down, Melvins, Weedeater, and Danava tomorrow in Denver. It will be awesome, and I need to find some earplugs so I don't give myself tinnitus getting too close to the speakers.

oh yeah i did wind up seeing we were skeletons this past sunday. they were thrashy and loud and without a pa, just like the last time i saw them. however there were more people which i think made it a better set for some reason. more energy in the room? however it was such a tiny space that there was nomoshin:c

They rocked so much, and the crowd went crazy and sung along with Spinal Meningitis Got Me Down, The Mollusk, and Push th' Little Daisies.

oh my god. They did an epic 10+ minute version of reggaejunkiejew and encored with Stroker Ace and You fucked Up.

I got some amazing pictures too.

asdfg 3 and a half hour drive was totally worth it brb passing out.

I just made a small planning of the upcoming shows during the next months.

Electric wizard 6/9
Anathema 23/9
Lifelover 4/10
absu 6/11
Mayhem 13/11
Swallow the sun 29/11
Satyricon 2/12
Hypocrisy 5/2/10

And those are only the ones I really want to see, there are some other shows and small fests I want to go to too, but money will be a bit of a problem.

went to a little show in a coffee shop last night. it was cool, there was a cute chick playing pretty moody songs on acoustic guitar, a chick who played bluegrassy songs on guitar (i mean not my thing but it was cool) and a strange band that used a ton of reverb and were really spacy but had a bassist just pumping out groovy/dancy bass lines. it was cool and they let us smoke inside, which i thought was pretty alright.

A couple of the shows I was going to see fell through but I'm pretty sure I'm seeing
The Weakerthans w/ Rock Plaza Central (yay!)
The Decemberists (crazy lottery show where they pick their set list via a lottery containing all the songs they've ever recorded or played)
Sunset Rubdown
Pains of Being Pure at Heart
Antlers (maybe)
Black Heart Procession w/ Bellini (maybe)

There are a ton of shows I want to go see in the next few months, but it all hinges upon whether I can find rides to each one or not. Tell me which ones you guys recommend so I can get some ammunition in convincing people to take me.

September:
Yo La Tengo
Sunn 0))) (I have a friend who really wants to see this with me...but he doesn't have a car either... undecided)
A Hawk and a Hacksaw

October:
The Dodos w/The Ruby Suns

December:
Pelican

Converge? DAMN YOU. In a nice way.

On that day I may perhaps go see Alexisonfire, Anti-Flag, The Fall Of Troy and The Ghost of a Thousand.

The day before my birthday I will be going to see Rise Against. I'm just annoyed it took me this long to get to see them, because now they're getting poppy and mainstream, and not in a good way.
