Seriously, have any of you been following Season 3, they finally got rid of that dullard Phantom Limb and now its just full of awesome. Its one of the few shows I watch religiously.

I've been loving this season, even though they've been focusing a lot more on actual plot development rather than just ridiculous shit going on. Totally excited for the season finale this week, they love to go out on something crazy.

Yeah I just watched part one today, it prompted me to spread my Venture love. Though Id have to say my very favourite episode from all time was season 2, Escape To The House Of Mummies Part II. Ironically there is no Part I. They just let you assume crazy awesome shit had happened in Part I and suddenly Caligula, Poe and "The Perfect Man" basically a retard version of the Golden Speedo dude from Rocky Horror are helping the Venture crew lay waste to yet another incompetent villian.

I could've sworn we had a TVB thread.

Anyway, it's been a bit tiring with the mythology building that up until the last few episodes was the sole purpose of this season. They've spent a lot of time fleshing out the back stories and personalities of the old Venture Team, Billy Quizboy, Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend, etc. But the final episodes with their rather surprising twists and revelations have shed new light on some of the main characters.

I love this show. So much. I am quite glad that my roommate had the first two seasons on DVD to watch. But now I don't have cable so I can't watch season three, which makes me a little sad.

Unfortunately, I think they only show the last two aired episodes online (I missed the second episode of the season due to this) Torrenting may be the only way to go.

Kind of sucks that the season's almost over. Hopefully the next one won't idle around till 2010.

Supposedly, Adult Swim renewed TVB for seasons 3 and 4 at once, so they began production on Season 4 right after Season 3 wrapped. I read on Publick's blog that they're hoping to have Season 4 air by Fall 2009.

So anybody else see the season finale? I won't post spoilers, but one of the great things about the Venture Brothers is that they like to reference throwaway lines from the past, way back into past seasons, and there were some fine examples of that tonight.

Ahem, getting non-spoily, I'm betting the ending twist is a fakeout, even with the T-shirts they're selling.

I saw it, and I like how they undermined that thing they built up all season. It'll probably end up a cop-out, sure, but I thought it was a great twist. I feel like less happened in this season than in Season 2, but the finale definitely gave them plenty of things to explore next season. I think that because Adult Swim renewed them for seasons 3 and 4 at the same time, Publick and Hammer wrote Season 3 mostly as setup. It fleshes out a lot of characters, and introduces quite a few new ones, but there isn't a whole lot of forward action to the plot. I'm guessing that they're preparing for a much more dramatic season 4 since they knew they had the liberty of a season in advance of it.

My only real complaint about Season 3 was that there just wasn't enough Dr. Orpheus.

Theres some ups and down for the character fleshing out theyve been doing. Notably, they havent been toying with the multitude of villains that they made up and paraded in episodes like the one where Dr Venture has the yard sale. Sgt Hatred is a knob of a char, and the other goto villain seems to be Truckulese. Id like to see more used. Also, yeah I totally love Dr Orpheus, his the blackula hunting, and gay alchemist, not s much. I just always enjoyed the fact that he always seemed to be doing menial tasks, like using his powers to rake leaves, and generally never getting any respect. Even though it would take Brock to take him out with his powers.

Wait what? Its done for the season? This isnt how its supposed to end. 24 was a rock, he cant be gone, and Brock?! What the fuck he cant go anywhere.

Not to mention H.E.L.P.E.R. not that he cant get rebuilt but seriously! I thought there was another epi to seal these gaps in how things are supposed to be. Thankfully it was as good of a season closer as season 1 I guess. But really, what about Orb, did nothing come of that.

I don't really watch the show very much. It's ok, but it's not like I'll go out of my way to watch it.

However it may interest you that a couple guys I know will sporadically yell "LOCK DOWN AUXILIARY POWER!" at people while they're drinking, and won't leave until the person either a. asks what they fuck they're talking about, or b. yell back "WE DON'T HAVE AUXILIARY POWER!"

I kinda like how the show is progressing in Season 4. You don't see a lot of animated shows not afraid to lose their audience. That's one of the great things about a great program not being on FOX, you know what I mean.

Finally got to see the full epi. It was a gooder Im excited to see the follow up episodes, in a regular format mind you, since this episode worked to line up the new alliances. Helper Mk II, Dr Hatred, the boys and Dr Venture. Brock and the rest of S.P.H.I.N.X. and finally, the bad guys? OSI.

I'm not seeing this. The whole point of the scene you mentioned was that the Guild and the OSI were not officially related, let alone the same organization. Not to mention that if the OSI and the Guild are the same, the Monarch/OSI battle at the end of the last season makes no sense.

Really, all we know is that the current incarnation of S.P.H.I.N.X. is made up of (seemingly) ex-OSI agents.

As I'm in the UK and impatient I'm having to download this

it took me 3 goes to get anything watchable & now I am pleasantly confused.

I love this show soooooo much. I'm trying not to have too many theories about whats going on as everytime I've done that before I've been wrong (Apart from Davie Bowie, I actually guessed that right!).

The little comic bit's from the first Marvel were great, I'm enjoying fat Brock & the idea that boys actually get to grow up now, if they don't die first...

(The flashback showing all their deaths is one of my favourite moments ever.

I think that was one of the most unsettling episodes I've ever seen. I thought they would keep the fact that he was a pedophile on the down low or just hint at it, but they really went all out on him. I love Robot Ghost though.
