I found a used copy of Tortoise's 'A Lasarus Taxon' at my local independent record store for about $25. It's a 3 CD+1 DVD Box Set released in 2006. Pitchfork gave it a 9.2 http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/record_review/37797-a-lazarus-taxonI saw it, unaware it existed and assumed that it was probably a steal, and I was right... It's not selling for any less than $50 at Amazon used, I've seen it priced at over $100. so that's what I'm listening to right now. It's REALLY good. Specifically the track 'Blackbird' at the moment, but I'm making my way through.

These Arms Are Snakes – Oxeneers or The Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home
I'd forgotten about this excellent record for a bit. I got it when I saw TAAS open for Isis three or four years ago and their live show blew me away. Angular post-hardcore with a good helping of keyboards.

No, in fact, I haven't even heard the follow-up to Oxeneers. They kinda got lost in the shuffle and I just spontaneously remembered I had the album yesterday. Is the new one good?

"no virginia" by the dresden dolls
i must've heard one of their songs a long while back, because i had the idea in my head that they were a bit crap, but after randomly seeing one of their videos yesterday, and subsequently checking out a load more on youtube, i realised i like them! tbh though, this album's a bit hit and miss, but ive since realised it's a rarities thing. and it was only a few quid. i'll be checking out "yes virginia" soon though.

I miss yo mamma jokes. That trend was completely smothered by "That's what she said" and "Bom chicka wah wah".
Oh, and I'm listening to "Milano" by Sigur Ros. It's one of those songs where I can't understand why it's just a deep-cut.
