I like Paul Gilbert's "Flying Dog" and "Burning Organ" albums. They're not particularly artistic, but they're kind of funny. Out at the end of next month.

"Raditude"? Really?
I'm not even giving this one a fair chance. The title and art just destroyed it.

Fuck, why am I the only person who genuinely loves the Green Album? I feel like it's their best album.
It's so catchy! Pinkerton occasionally bores me.

I already owned a couple of Joni Mitchell albums, so I can't claim the cover art for Hejira was the only reason I bought it, but I think it's awesome: I confess I did go out and buy a beret like that though...

Did I miss something, or has nobody posted anything from GY!BE or EItS? I mean, really, everything either of them has put out except for All Lights... and arguably Those Who... is absolutely beautiful. I especially like The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place's art, the simplicity really works, like someone is writing it over and over trying to convince themselves. The insert that came with the CD of The Earth... was also great, I can't find a picture of it online, but it is a simple line drawing of a sailor sitting on the end of a pier staring out at the sea, saying "thank you."

I remember when I first bought it I just sat there reading every single line. A few say something else, such as "The earth is not cold or dead" or "The earth isn't a cold" or some small variation. Also on the inside of the CD sides it says something like, "Because you are listening." I don't have the CD with me because I lent it to a friend who loves it to death. Couldn't find the full poster for it. Didn't look too hard though.

So post them, you silly person!
It takes me forever to upload one photo, let alone seven or eight of them. Or is it generally considered kosher to hotlink images from wikipedia, since if it is anyone other than Google, it is going to be a drop in the bucket of times that image is accessed? I hadn't noticed that, Zingo. I need to look at the case, I assumed it was the same thing over and over except for the name of the band and the songs on the back. My mother actually currently has my copy, she and I both like it and I don't tend to listen to CDs much anyway. Does anyone know if they ever made a shirt for The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place? I normally don't like the super-busy shirts with writing all over them, but I would make an exception for that.
