ZOMG WEIRD DREAM

« on: October 13, 2009, 01:10:28 AM »

Hey, I was just wondering:
Does anybody else here want to see more dream comics?
Marten had that dream, and then nothing came of it.
I think it'd be interesting to have another peak at Marten's "tortured psyche."
I know dreams are random, but maybe he is insecure in his masculinity? Etc. etc.
That, and I just want to see Marten with bewbz again. Hawt.
Also, can't wait to see his dad. That's gonna be awesome.

I bet Pennelope's subconscious is a pretty interesting place, furnished as it is with everything she reads.

With dream comics, though, a little goes a long way.

That strip was part of a weird dream arc, though.  Everyone was having them, then talked about it.  I wouldn't mind seeing some of that with the newer characters, like Marigold, Angus, Penelope, Wil, ... Raven (weird physics dreams?)

Must've been a full moon...

But yeah, a little goes a long way.  You really need some good insight into the characters' psyches to make it work, so it may be awhile!

She already has one.

It's made in Japan.  She keeps it in a dresser drawer.

Doesn't take it out as often now that she has Marten...

I think of  the science all the time.

Especially at night, when I'm lonely.

OK, I'm lonely in the day, too.  But then I don't think of the science so much, I have all these damned college kids I have to babysit for hours at a time.

If this comic was like Cerebus the Aardvark, the dreams would have Deep Significance, and we would eventually find out that Hannelore was somehow responsible for the death of Faye's dad.

And also that Marten's dream of having sex with an overstuffed leather recliner was subconscious lust for Faye.
