Looking at yesterday's comment and Jeph's Twitter inspired this topic.

Who amoung you is a big enough arrogant prick to actually contact Jeph and tell him to 'hurry up' when a comic is late?

The image of you monkeys sitting in front of your computers at QC.net spamming F5 until you get your fix makes me very, very sad.

My compiler says this is wrong.  sad
I must have not typed it correctly.
Alas, Syrupykeyboard is destined to live a life without pi.

P.S.
I haven't read my "C++ for Dummies" book in quite a while, so I know nothing about C++ anymore.
Not that I really did to begin with.
Compiler came with the book.
Please to be forgiving my newbness.

P.P.S.
Jeph, I am sorry that people are inconsiderate at times.
I wish you a happy day, dude.

How would the characters handle the situation?

There are only two fannish characters, Dora and Marigeek. Neither one would joggle the elbow of an artist at work.

The creative characters are Faye and Marten. Marten would be dreadfully mellow if someone interrupted him while he was improvising. If someone disturbed Faye at sculpture, she'd probably deviscerate his manitalia. (360 suggested that as a Dora activity but it's not beyond Faye).

Imagine how Faye will react when she discovers that Jeph is responsible for her father's suicide.
