If season 5 is better than the start of season 4 I will probably die. The episodes are really formulaic but I really can't fault the stupid idea, bitter rivalries form, everything spirals out of control format. I think I almost cried during The Gang Solves The Gas Crisis, and little touches like Charlie's teeth falling out and Mac being obsessed with the wedding dress in the next episode are amazing.

So many great episodes. Dumpster baby has to be my favorite because of the side plot with Charlie and Frank becoming trash men. Also, the line where Charlie says: "We'll sleep in this dumpster!" and Frank goes "I'm not above that!"

So I've watched a few episodes of this show now and it strikes me that I'd find it a whole lot funnier if they'd slow down and not constantly talk. Guys, if you have jokes you have to give them room to breath. Four people constantly talking really loudly at each other at a million words a minute is not in itself funny.

Sunny is such a great show. My brother gave me the frist 3 or 4 (I dont remember) seasons a year or so ago and I just love it. the musical episode is probably my favorite. I know he has the fifth season for me but i havnt gotten around to bringing my external hardrive to get it yet.
Just thinking about it makes me so so happy.

By contrast, today I downloaded Highlander 1 and 2 via bittorrent because I was bored and there was nothing stopping me from doing so. I didn't even want to watch either movie in their entirety, and after watching about 3 minutes of Highlander 1, I deleted both films. As always, the lesson here is that Americans are immensely spoiled.

Well, I was in an argument with my brother about what is the most god awful sword fight in a movie that many people unquestionably love, so I had to bust out Ramirez vs. Kurgan. Otherwise I didn't really feel like watching it. I never had any intention of watching Highlander 2, for reasons that are obvious to anyone who's seen it. I downloaded it because I was too lazy/oblivious to notice it was bundled in with the first one. |

Thing is, Highlander's premise makes a better TV show than a movie. And yes I know there was a TV show, but to make a TV show set in a different period, or worse, multiple periods in time is very expensive. Lets look at Deadwood for example, they basically built a small town which must cost a pretty penny.
