ps. it actually gave me a headache.

Okay, having read all the way through instead of the first couple of pages, putting aside fact that a number of the people on this list I've only heard of on this forum and barely anywhere else, are you seriously telling me that Devin The Dude, Dirty Projectors, The Coup, Grizzly Bear, Clinic, Clipse and Madvillain are all well-known artists?
Hear what. Stop watching VH1.

MadVillain = MF DOOM.

The Coup = Classic Hip-Hop

Clipse = More Classic Hip-Hop

Devin The Dude = New school dude, with an old school feel.

I'm actually rather surprised I know most of the artists/albums on this list.

Ho, ho ho, you sure zinged me, slight problem though, I don't even have a fucking television.

Madvillain= MF DOOM.

See MF Doom I know of, and I thought the album art looked like MF Doom, but he was credited as something else (and I didn't read all the attached articles).

For the most part, I liked the follow-up "Orphans" article better: http://www.avclub.com/articles/best-music-the-orphans,35572/

Yeah, I think it's easier to just write about loving music when there's no real pressure to say "This album is the best and it is better than everything else." And it's definitely more fun to read loving, gushing prose about music than it is to read some cunt talking about how x band is that big ole important band that y, f, and l bands are so totally derivative of. Unless y, f, and l bands suck, I guess. Really, I like both. But "Orphans" is a better read.

Shh... it's not cool to like Animal Collective or any of the related side projects anymore. Didn't you hear?

I knew AC wasn't cool, but I though Person Pitch was still in the clear. Sad
