Horrible Bosses
« on: 10 Jul 2011, 08:20 »

Anyone see this?  Caught it Thursday night, liked it a lot, a solid performance from each of the three leads and a great supporting cast.  If I had any complaints it was that

If you haven't seen it yet, do you plan to?

Yeah, I like Pixar too, but I'm disappointed in them for choosing to make not only another sequel but a sequel to that.  Also, I was thinking of seeing Bad Teacher but everyone tells me it's shit tier.  Thanks for confirming that, Lee.

It wasn't Pixar's choice;  the choice was Disney's, much like Toy Story 2.

Cars has sold more in toys / games / etc. than all the other Pixar movies combined.

The original Cars movie was the lowest rated of any of the Pixar movies, and the sequel is not doing well with critics now.

It's purely a cash grab.  Fuck Disney.

You'd think Pixar would have more autonomy, Steve Jobs is the largest shareholder in the company.  Oh well, I suppose if Brave is good then taking a year off from Pixar will be ok.

Bad teacher just wasnt memorable.  Sure there were some funny gags and you see Camren Diaz fondle a shirtless big breasted woman, but the name of the movie was misleading

it should have been called.

Also I would like to point out that the combination of Sailor Moon and faux-Kerouac / Sonic Youth spelling is perhaps the purest distillation of what this forum is that we have yet been presented with.

From what I read here, I am so glad I saw Horrible Bosses instead of Bad Teacher. Kevin Spacey was the shit.

So I'm the only one who doesn't find Jennifer Aniston attractive at all really?

Opinions that belong to just one person are few and far between, but I doubt you'll find much agreement.

I stopped looking at her face in Friends a long time ago.

Nah, she's attractive and can be a competent film actress I guess. Trailers made this look like something I might see, as opposed to Marley and Me or The Switch or any mediocre looking film she's in. Also, like, what the hell Jason Bateman. Hancock was his last good role (can it be classed as a leading role?), and now he's this guy who turns up in Aniston films. Weird.
