TSK, the salmon anecdote made me laugh aloud.

There's this really handy "other thing" I'm going to write as a footnote to my abstract that I can probably explore these issues in. I think I'll call it my "dissertation."

But you have seen the natural channel at least once, uh?  :-D
I watch the nature channel all the time and I still don't like watching animals hunt and then eat other animals, whether they're cute or not. It's gross.

So I'm the only one fascinated and in love with the cruel reality of mother nature? :meh:

I believe it comes from the August feature of http://www.belgiansinballgags.com.
I'm not clicking on that, but shouldn't it be www.ballgagsinbelgians.com?

I can't believe I actually clicked on that.

I clicked it, but it took me to a search page for my internet company instead.

We watched a bobcat stalk and kill a squirrel while having lunch outside one day.  We waited until after the cat made its kill to cheer it on.

My wife told me that yesterday our dog brought her a dead mole. She spent a good portion of the day picking it up gently and turning it over, trying to figure out why it wasn't moving at all. While it's entirely possible that she may have killed it, I'm doubtful. The one time she dug up a nest of newborn bunnies, she stood guard over it and refused to come inside. Momma bunny wasn't too happy about it.

Maybe she found a farmer's display of dead moles:

My neighbor raises Scotties, and told me a couple of them are great at hunting moles. He said he watched one of them run to catch a mole, pick it up and shake it, and said the head went one way, the rest of it the other way. I don't know if that's the strength of the shake, the force of teeth and jaws or a weakness in the mole's tissues. I guess all three.

It didn't in mine, because at no point you mention that your dog is a she.

I understood the dog's gender almost immediately. But I had training; my wife was somewhat antecedent-challenged.

Um, you didn't think he was talking about his wife for the whole paragraph, surely?

The second two sentences could easily be misconstrued as the wife rather than the dog. The latter sentence was discernible as the dog, due to the content.

Not the fact that there is a Nikelback concert and that's terrible, it's the fact that the venue literally had to pay an ad company to make a coupon for them to get people to come to the show.

"Nickelback is one of the most commercially successful Canadian groups, having sold more than 50 million albums worldwide,[3] ranking as the 11th best selling music act of the 2000s, and is the 2nd best selling foreign act in the U.S. behind The Beatles for the 2000s." - wikipedia.

You are not alone, it seems.
