We end the year with Sweetits (and, assumingly Yelling Bird and Randy).

I plan on putting up a year-end "moment of the year" poll next week; post your nominees!

Is it the Pride Orb nowadays?

Harriet the Spy grew up into Sweet-Tits? (Also how did she find out her name, I thought she didn't even know it.)

My sister's best childhood friend was called Harriet.  But we knew her as "Widdy" - I have no idea why!

My sister (in boat) and Widdy (on shore) in about 1960 or 61.

My mother built the boat.

Heh, I dunno, I don't find him irritating at all, I like him almost as much as Shebly, and Shebly is awesome. I mean yeah, differing opinions, but how is he supposed to be irritating? YB's funny, but YB's also a terrible person bird, so YB hating Randy doesn't make Randy irritating.

I suspect Andy might take issue with the "unlov - ed?" line, but otherwise, there's this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcEBJvbJ_zg

Harriet was also the name of one of the student editors of a college newspaper I wrote for, but that was back in the mid 90's so she probably doesn't qualify as a girl any more.

Constant exposure to an endless litany of "hi, I'm randy" would probably drive me to distraction too, but beyond that Randy's eternalness makes me want to take him apart a few times to see what makes him tick.

I don't know if that's hatred exactly but I wouldn't classify it as affection.  After watching Madoka Magica I am not a fan of eternal animals and I'm sure others who watched share my feelings.  I sympathize with YB in the case of Randy.

Besides the added allusion to "Girl Genius," it's all a reference to the works of Jimbo -- pretty much all from the same strip in which Tai makes her "heteronormative" reference.

Hilarious guest strip today.  Usually I don't like them because they take away from the main strip IMO, but this was just pure comedy gold and a great callback to the olden daze.  (Why do you never hear of "newen" anything?)
