I have to admit that Taste of Blood has commented on Marten's hotness when he had long hair (I tried to explain he was a character but it didn't seem to register with her!)

Has anyone ever seen all those "You know you're obsessed with (fill in anime character here) when..." websites?  And all those girls that homage their fave male anime pretty boy by dressing up as the character?  Wow....

I always figured it was ok to be attracted to humanoid fictional characters, since they're representations of a person, and (usually) a real-life representation of that character could conceivably exist. I'm sure there's boys who act like Marten, and whose closest cartoon approximation is drawn like Marten is.

I don't understand being attracted to furry characters or other non-humanoids, though. What's the appeal in an extremely hirsute woman? Would that tail really turn someone on if it was real? I'd be a bit freaked out by a girl with a tail, but that's just me..

i hope when we come into contact with an alien civilization, they are sexy aliens.  and who knows, well not into furry i just had to quell the thought of what a tail might have uses for.

dear god.  i need to sleep more and play less video games on work nights.

Who's never thought that a Disney character was sexy?  Pocahontas, Jasmine, all sexy on the womens part.  And then there's Aladdin, Tarzan, and Peter Pan!  When I say that a character is sexy, I don't actually think the ink and colors are hot, but if they were real people, they would be pretty cool.

It's going to be bizarre what happens as "animated characters" become more and more real-looking, I just thought.  Like, would it be wrong to be attracted to a fake character who looked just like a human?  Is it wrong to be attracted to naked girls in paintings?

hmm...

This is disturbing me now, my ex bf went on the computer of a pretty good friend of ours and found a load of hentai (sp???). I'd almost let myself forget it but this has brought the horror right back

past a certain point, I see no difference. after all, a picture is a picture. The difference between, say, a hentai drawing and a playboy shoot is that one was made using a camera, and the other took longer. neither actually materializes a real naked woman in the room, so any enjoyment derived from such media is entirely in your head anyway. As such, drawn characters are equally valid for "I think she's hot" attention as a photo of Angelina Jolie.

Of course, asking for an animated character's address and phone number is nothing short of dodgy.

I don't know if I should punch some of you in the face and hug others, or hug some of you and punch the others in the face..

If I was to see a living version of Dora, though, I would be FORCED, by things BEYOND MY CONTROL to hunt her down and get her digits and whatnot.  Don't pretend you wouldn't. LIARS.

Although this isn't a cartoon, now that we're on the topic of silly rape scenes,
check out EVIL DEAD!  Awesomely bad movie.  The climax?  A woman is running into the woods from spooky dead people in her boyfriends cabin when the trees around her come to life and she gets penetrated by a branch.

In a morbid way, those trees remind me of those from The Wizard of Oz.

On the one hand I want to be able to say, "Yes, I can see how cartoons, as representations of real people, can be hot" and admit that if I were a cartoon living in their version of cartoon-land (shades of "Cool World") I'd pursue them...

OR, if they were real-people version of their cartoon selves living in the real realm, they'd be hot, and once again, I'd pursue. Example-- I lived with a girl for two years who looked a lot like Princess Jasmine...mmmmm....

But now, y'all done put those nasty pictures up, and I can't say things like that without adding some sort of caveat such as, "that ain't the deer this hunter's gunnin' for, pilgrim".

AS for cartoons and humans mixing, as in "Roger RAbbit", well... that would be kinda wierd. I mean, having a girlfriend that would smear if you spilled coffee on her?  And would she be drawn with the right... parts? Would they work? And it would be hard on the kids, too....

No more pictures like that. It's an atrocity!
