Just because it's anime themed doesn't mean it's ONLY anime. Machall and penny-arcade do panels at anime conventions too, and jedi show up at these things every once in awhile.  It's possible he may/might be approached someday.

a. research on Google
b. go to every convention website in the FREAKING WORLD and look up if Jeph is speaking
c. Read Jeph's livejournal, comic, newspost, forum posts, and EVERY SINGLE BUTTON IN HIS NAV BAR

What the heck is going on in this thread?

I'm not involved with the Anime Boston people right now, as far as I know anyway. I can't really comment on any other invitations as that stuff tends to be confidential until the contracts are signed. Let me just say that I would be happy to attend other talks/cons as long as my transportation and lodging were paid for.
