That's the question folks. Never listened to them (although I'll obviously get something before I go) but I've heard such a buzz that it would be tragic to miss them live. Also, doesn't seem that they come to the UK very often...

It's a two hour train ride though, and I'll have to skip some classes...

So who here recommends them and can give me comparisons band-wise? Anyone seen them live?

I just saw wilco live a couple months ago. It was the most amazing concert i have ever been to, and I've seen them before. This is the greatest lineup they've had in years. If you don't go to this concert, you will forever regret it.

I tried to respond earlier, so here it goes again:

Wilco are fantastic. Like, seriously amazing, especially live. The live show they broadcast on their website a couple of months back was positively mind-blowing in its scope, integrity, and quality. As well, when you get yourself a Wilco CD, I highly recommend that you start with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot; however, it may be prudent to download a couple of songs from A Ghost Is Born off of the Intarweb, since (although they do requests) they will likely focus on their most recent album.
