I think that this is one of the finest posts I've ever made and I'm linking to it because Varg here bumped it to the previous page.

Varg? For real? No. Jack The Ripper might have been handsome but history will still call him a loathsome, vile brute. Chiseled features or not, I cannot endorse any love for Varg.

Heh, Varg is a bit of a dick.
He made mistakes in his past which I can easily put asside, but his idealogy now is pretty bullshit and is unacceptable.
He's a smart guy though, I can't help but fall for him.

Also, if I had no idea who Varg Vikerenes was I'd say that he was a rather handsome guy as well, but yeah, he's lord of the knobs.

Stephanie Ashworth has ugly, weak-looking hair.  Looks like it's been dyed or something.  That coupled with her bad makeup makes her look like a prostitute who couldn't afford a wig.

Heh, Varg is a bit of a dick.

Possibly an understatement. However, he is pretty good looking (especially in the older pictures, I love that beard) and he is a rather interesting person. I've read a lot of the stuff he's written (that's available in english anyway) and his thoughts and ideologies are far, far more complex than the general perception of them. They're still often completely whack, however.

Just because people are curious who Varg is and what he did.
http://www.burzum.org has a bit of info.
Although obviously there are a lot of sides to the story so it's best to do a bit of research before judging.

Also David, He's still rather attractive even while going through his Neo-Nazi phase.

Baisically, he stabbed Euronymous, Mayhem's guitarist (Varg played bass for Mayhem at the time). In broad daylight. On his door steps. Varg is also a neo-nazi.

There is not much to reaserch dude.

Hardly.
He murdered Euronymous, yes, it was in the middle of the night. The Neo-Nazi thing is incorrect though, well his ideology is similar to national socialist, but it's still different.

He's still a terrible human being.

Is the whole thing about he and Euronymous eating Dead's brains true? Because I have no idea what bits of the Mayhem mythos are completely favricated or not anymore.

I'm sure Euronymus would love you to have thought he ate Deads brains, but whether he actually did or not is up in the air. It is however pretty much agreed on that he probably drove Dead to kill himself. It's worth pointing out for balance that Euronymus had threatended to kill Varg (apparently Euronymus used to send people death threats for shits and giggles (this being Mayhem), however, as we know, Varg is not one to piss about). Varg also swears blind that Euronymus went for a knife before he stabbed him, and it would be worth listening to him because sure as hell no one in court did (though it would also be good to note that Varg isn't technically imprisoned for murder, but rather voluntary manslaughter, also that he was stung for at least two extra church burnings he almost certainly couldn't have actually committed). He's actually as much imprisoned for arson, theft and the illegal possession of high explosives as the manslaughter. Also, as Kadlin points out, Varg isn't actually a neo-nazi. He was a neo-nazi for a few years after he was first imprisoned, but he no longer maintains any contacts with White Aryan Resistance or even the All-Germanic Heathen Front (which he founded, and is anyway not actually per-se a racist organisation). Indeed, there's a rather charming bit on the Burzum website where Varg says he's had to cancel an appeal for people to send him some interesting political/philosophical books because the senders politics were 'too radical'.

Not to say Varg isn't fucked up. Some of his ideas are batshit crazy: he's completely in to Atlantis and Thule and all sorts of similiar insanity.

Ok perhaps I'm missing something (a non-working picture, perhaps) but is it possible that no one has yet thought to mention this man?:

I mean...really...

Also, I most definitely support the mentions of Gackt, Thurston Moore, Morrissey, Bowie (60s and 90s in particular), and Jarvis Cocker.? Oh god, Jarvis Cocker.

Also, Shiina Ringo:

I hope that wasn't too many pictures...

I don't know if I would describe Destroyer's Rubies-era Dan Bejar as "attractive," but I do find his appearance very compelling in some way:

It could just be because I know he wrote Destroyer's Rubies, though. I mean, Goddamn.

Fixed your typo.
Seriously, no sarcasm. I did.
If we're posting local musicans who are cute, i could spend all day... Lizzie and Sarah from the redsunband (only good for eye candy and supporting better bands), tambourine player for the Morning After Girls (useless except for eye candy), Katy Steele from Little Birdy is cute sometimes (and only good as a backup singer from the Panda Band), Patience and Alana from the Grates i've got about 100 photos of (Pae's hotter on-stage then off, Alana's just cute and neat) and Panda Band songs about... Sarah Blasko is sometimes attractive, like when i ran into her last week... but sometimes not... Emily from Baseball/Pikelet/True Radical Miracle has neat glasses... i've got fun pics of Kelli from Architiecture in Helsinki dancing where she looks pretty nice... the chick from Sneaky Sound System looks good on the cover of the paper next to me...if i was a gal i'd do Tim Rogers from You Am I... Angie Hart from Frente!/Leonardo's Bride/Holidays On Ice, who had a song written about her by a very local band with the name I forget.... Sarah from Terrapin... this one girl named Merideth who I can't remember what band she's in, but she's sweet and i've got her number

Basically I spend most of my free time crushing on local bands and the time i don't have free is adding info about local bands. Its a bit sad.
I should post pics.
most of those people i mentioned are nice in real life, except for the redsunband (sorry if any of you are friends with them. thats just my experiance)

don't tell her if you know her
and since there are alot of Aussie music fans, someone probably knows her
i think some of these blur the line between 'musicans i think are good looking' and 'people who are good looking who are in bands', though i dunno the international profile of some of these peeps
but mostly i just stare at pictures of Joanna Newsom, Cat Power, Kaki King, and the Grates
