I don't understand all the attention this thing is getting. I listened to it and thought it was just okay. Nice instrumentation and production, but Brian Wilson sounds exactly like what he is, a 63-year-old man. He sounds great for 63, and sure, he could have bungled the whole project. But when did things like "sounds great for his age" and "could have been worse" become qualities that make an album better than average?

Am I the only one who thinks SMiLE was overhyped and is now way over-rated?
