For me, it's dogs. I like to narrate my dogs thoughts while she's doing things. "Hey, I'm gonna walk over here wait no I want to sniff the floor first I'm gonna follow the scent I hope it leads to food oops I walked into the wall".

My dog outsmarted me. I tried to do the cup and ball trick with my dog. Put a chip under one of three bun casings and spun them round while getting her to stay. When I told her to find the chip, she sniffed the three bun casings, then walked around me and shoved her nose in the bag of chips hidden behind me. She found the food which was what I wanted her to do, I guess?

My bff is adopting a kitten from a coworker. I will be at her house when he arrives. Maybe I'll let my bff's daughter hold the kitten first, maybe I won't. I may even catnap it, who knows.

So when I go to NorCal in July I have been informed I am most likely going to have a female bedmate.

Her name is Brandy and she's a super friendly GSD who has declared the guest bed in my friend's house her bed, and since I sure as shit ain't sleeping in her doggy bed we're just gonna have to snuggle. The good news is Brandy's apparently as big of a cuddle whore as I am.

I will not be starved for animal attention while I'm there in general. My friends have four dogs, a cat or two, a macaw and a smaller parrot and a large tank'o'fish.

Yes, she is a precious little babydoll. And she peed on my bed this morning. And woke me up an hour ahead of schedule. And then ate like a little monster, and climbed into bed with me.

I managed to successfully wash the dog last night! Successful in the sense she was cleaned. The bathroom and myself were saturated afterwards but I still feel oddly accomplished. Mammy and Da never wash her because the dog hates it but last night she rolled in what my Mammy thinks was a mix of "oil or petrol and horse piss" so I took one for the team.

Bonus: While Socks wasn't too happy with me last night after washing her, she was delighted to see me this morning so she must forgive me.

Yuki doesn't know what to make of her. Percy hisses at her. But she's only been with me a couple days, so they haven't spent much time together. Percy did lick her head once, so I'm hoping he's warming up to her.

My cat Sophie once brought a frog in from the pond. She didn't want to hurt it, she just wanted to mother it. The frog didn't like that very much. The dog realised that the frog was in distress and stood guard over it until we'd managed to rescue it.

In fairness to Sophie, she did attempt to become a suitable parent to the frog by leaping into the pond, but then suddenly realised she couldn't swim and panicked. And then had to undergo the humiliation of a bath. She was not the brightest sandwich in the knife box.
