Saddest news I've read in a long time. A comic genious passed away far too early. Young ones and Bottom both make my top five funniest TV series ever made, not forgetting his impressive performance in Blackadder (II & IV) as Lord Flashheart.

The Young Ones is still one of the better sitcoms around, even 20-odd years later. Magnificent bastard.
