Design Your Own Dream Band!
Diomedes:
Alright, my absolute dream band would look somethink like this:
Lead Guitar: George Harrison
Rythym Guitar: John Lennon
Bass: Paul McCartney
Drums: Ringo Starr
I would have to think up a good name...like The Quarrymen, or something like that. Heh heh heh...
In all seriousness, my dream band (excluding any of those guys) would be:
Lead Vocals: Eric Burdon
Secondary Vocals: Grace Slick
Guitar: Jimmy Page
Bass: Jack Bruce (who could sing a few as well)
Drums: Ginger Baker
Thrillho:

Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison.
No idea what the name should be.

I'd go for Travelling Wilburys.
Bastardous Bassist:

Ah, Virgil's a motherfucker. My friend saw Planet X and met him, but the guy was a bit of a dick. Derek Sherenian and Tony McAlpine were great guys, though. Here's mine:
Sax: Chris Potter
Trombone: Robin Eubanks (just because the two of them make the greatest horn duo ever)
Guitar: John Scofield
Piano: Brad Mehldau
Keyboards: John Medeski
Bass: Dave Holland
Drums: Billy Kilson
Okay, so it's "Extended Play"-era Dave Holland Quintet, with a few additions/changes. I still think that "Extended Play: Live at Birdland" is one of the best albums that could ever be made. However, when I'm in a more traditional swing mood, I'd go for something like this:
Sax - Sonny Rollins
Piano - Herbie Hancock
Bass - Ron Carter or Paul Chambers, depending on my mood
Drums - Max Roach
beat mouse:
yeah i've heard donati was a bit of a prick too, my friends saw his clinic in vancouver a couple years back and said it was unreal, but he was kind an asshole.

I thought of that, but some other band took it.
