well one thing i was playing with was maybe a sin city sort of things, like you said, maybe mostly monocrome, but then something like his helmet being green and other "important things"

Sounds good. Seems you have the art down. How you doing for story ideas?

maybe instead of using the bucket to colour, draw it on with a big brush,

get a big hard round one, and just draw, you can change the opacity with 1~0 and the size with [&]
