well, it's CALLED the friendship scarf. if it were truly a friendship scarf, it would symbolise a retarded little monkey with the brain of an axolotl and the disturbing habit of ripping its nails out of its fingers. the friendship scarf was the result of trying to make a scarf whilst everyone else wanted to learn how to knit and have a go at adding stuff onto it. it is a pretty scarf, and i wear it in public whenever i get the reason to (unfortunately, this is australia, and due to weather, the occasion to wear a scarf comes very infrequently). this scarf has met john rhys davies, the sandman (from sbs comedy fame), and richard taylor (of weta fame *squee*).

here is the scarf, lounging sexily on the sexy brown carpet tiles.


and here it is, draped provocatively over a doorknob. oooooh!


and here is the beginning of the scarf, when i was still learning how to control pressure and density of stitches. you can see the part where i learned how to cast on extra stitches


here is the slightly boring end, with beads on!


here is one section, complete with a belt and a pouch for tim tams


here is the end that has the alternate function of acting as a hat. how ingenious!

and that is the friendship scarf, a manifestation of all that is so very very wonderful int he world
