Futurama Is Coming BACK!!!

--- Quote from: Spinless ---The last episode the one where Fry destroys the brains and travels back in time?
--- End quote ---

Fry deals with the Robot Devil, gets his hands, learns to kick ass at the holophoner, etc...

Some of the greatest Futurama quotes come from that episode:
Bender: You may need to metaphorically make a deal with the devil. By 'devil' I mean robot devil and by 'metaphorically' I mean get your coat.

Robot Devil: These hands are always touching me in places!
Fry: (chuckles) Yeah, they get around!

Robot Devil: You can't just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Bender: I don't recall ever fighting Godzilla, but that is SO what I would've done!

Calculon: I do owe you for giving me this unholy (overdramatically) ACTING TALENT!

Hedonism Bot: But I'm not done vomiting!

hehehe...

That guy:
I sure do hope that they do something like this to bring some closure to the show, but I am always warry of any news about a cartoon show comming back.  So many great shows have ended before their time and nothing ever comes of them.  underGRADS, The Critic, Mission Hill, Roughnecks, Clerks.  Hell even Spawn had it's moments.

The problem is you can never rely on what anyone says about a show comming back.  Pete Williams, creator and animator of underGRADS, a very funny cartoon, has talked about being able to bring the show back for years and has nothing to show for it.

I just hope that they can back up their talk.  I'd hate to be dissapointed again.  Futurama was the smarter persons cartoon.  They had jokes that were so intelligent.

Example - When the gang is at the horse race and the professor loses the race saying, "No fair!  You changed the outcome by measureing it!"  Which is funny because Heisenburg's uncetainty priciple dictates that what ever you measure, you change.  Ahhhh, I love jokes that no one gets unless you watch the running comentary on the dvd.

Bastardous Bassist:
My favorite intellectual joke was when Bender is sent to robot hell and the robot devil gives him a pamphlet that says "Hell is Other Robots."  And you don't necessary have to watch the commentary on the DVD.  You could just know what they're talking about.

Also, that's a gross oversimplification of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle.  It's actually much crazier.  That more references Schroedinger and his cat analogy, but I'll forgive them, because I thought the same thing until I started taking senior-level physics classes (yay for graduating...in a year).

Velly:
I hope the new episodes are good.

Although I've never seen the final.  I don't think we got that far with TV where I live, as it was on TV, then cancelled, then replayed again on a different channel.

Nettle:
thats cool, but i hope they still keep the episodes limited. It's better being shorter.
