If you want to see a movie that is entertaining and funny, might I suggest you promptly go out and rent "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". Starring Eric Idle, John Cleese, Terry Jones, Micheal Palin, and many others, this movie is full of humor. The problem is, you have to understand British humor, or the movie seems to fall flat on its face.
All in all, it is a very good movie, and I would recomend it to any one who has any semblance of a sense of humor.

As much as I'd like to agree with you, as I am a huge Python fan, I would argue that Life of Brian is the best of the Monty Python movies. Holy Grail is the most accessable however, and it's probably best to ween on non-python fan into the series with it.
The humour is odd, and it's not for everyone. But it is for everyone who is awesome, so yeah...go see it....and then Life of Brian....then Meaning of Life....then And Now For Something Completely Different....and Live and the Hollywood Bowl, and the entire Flying Circus...and Yellowbeard...and Brazil.

I'm going to have to say the latin lesson in Brian is gold, as is the reaper scene in Meanin of Life (oh, and the song!). Now For Something Completely Different totally does not need to exist. It's a best-of collection of absurdist sketch comedy....uh what the hell? Just buy all the Flying Circus, or have your grandmother give you the entire set for Christmas (<3).

I went to a monty python day at the castle the holy grail was filmed at.
It was cool, there were sketches and stuff like that. And then we watched the film on a huge projector screen inside the castles grounds. There is nothing better than watching Monty Python and the holy grail with 500 fans in fancy dress singing along and laughing. :-)
They gave out free coconuts tied together with string. I still have them :-)
Birthday trips with the family are the best.
