ashere65:
for me they were:

Garden State
Dodgeball
Superman TAS Vol.2

ilCorvo:
Last Night, I rented A History of Violence. It was very good, had some unneccesary female frontal nudity but otherwise good.

Kirbo:
Ugh, History of Violence topped my years worst list.

Last DVD I bought was Battle Royale. Damn fine movie.

Praeserpium Machinarum:
From the library:

Final Fantasy - Unlimited

Horrid. A manga series based on the games with bad drawing, fucked story and lousy voice actors. Avoid like the plague.

2001: A Space Odyssey
Similar to the other Kubrick movies I've seen(Strangelove and Eyes Wide Shut) his long stretches of time where "nothing" happens bores me a bit.
The ending was, even though I usually enjoy strange, just intelligible and the start was so pretentious I could cry. Some two minutes of black scene with classic music? I wondered if there was something wrong with the DVD.
HAL was awesome though.

The Dictator
I really like Charlie Chaplin and I like him even more when there is sound.
A really funny and thoughtprovoking movie, though it dragged a bit and the ending was perhaps slightly sentimental.
Which makes sense given the time it was made.

and I haven't seen Lagaan or Live Flesh yet.

Kid Modernist:
I bought Kikujiro yesterday at Borders. It's a really classy movie that I've wanted for some time.
