Dimi:
Hey. I just wanted to post a very short thread (as im sure it'll turn out to be)...

My father went to Ukraine to visit his parents about 2 weeks ago, came back with a bunch of kickass music dvd's and cd's (He actually found a copy of Chicago and Earth, Win & Fire in concert together on dvd O_O...i love it...3 hours of fun). Anyway, so he got this one CD which is like funk mixed with pop. I really hate commercial music...u dont know how much. But for some reason this album really appeals to me. I can't put my finger on it but it seems like all the notes I hear are exacty what I WANT to hear. Never heard of the band before but I was just wondering if anyone here has.

They're called SPICE and the album is called '69 Overdrive'.

Thrillho:
I'd suggest the literal translations would screw it up a bit.

Maybe 'violent' is meant to be more like, 'vigrous.'

I really want a pair of impact trousers. Coldwash, safe dry, keep out of cabinet.

Thrillho:

maybe i didn't make this clear.

please add the following disclaimer -

" On the 7th April 2006 forum-goer 'tommydski' utilised the Google translation tool to manipulate a german pop group's bio. In a recent interview he gave the following statement -

"i admit that i used a literal translator in an effort to create a humorous outcome. I remember the fond era of the internet when people had a sense of humour and i was attempting to recreate those golden days. I did not mean for this to be a slight on the fine people of Germany or their proud heritage."

The once proud auteur then shook his head gravely for a solemn moment before producing a small calibre handgun and discharging it into his own brain. "
--- End quote ---

I know you were. I was just trying to flex my translating muscle.

Thrillho:
Trust me, the rock may be in Nottingham, but it's in stinkhole venues in which your feet stick to the floor and there are four or more bars, the sound-desk is usually run by people barely evolved beyond monkeys, and there is a constant smell of rank man-sweat. And it's not just being at a gig either, I've been in there when it's empty.
