Ummm well that's just how it sounds to me I guess. I just don't think they deserve so much credit. It's just my opinion.

The problem is that "experimental" is relative, I guess. If you had heard any music that is really experimental - ie. stuff that Kai probably knows more about than me - you wouldn't think that CYHSY were particularly adventurous.
