This is my favourite Arcade Fire video. Not only is it odd and creepy but you can take out the drum track, vocals, synth, etc.

David Bowie and Mick Jagger...dancing...and singing. It's just...so...funny! I wish I had grown up in the 80's, if this is what they were like.

I did grow up in the 80s.  This is what they were like, only frequently worse.

Why on earth would you want to see them at their worst? Pathetic, not funny.

I happen to find this video awesome, mostly because they filmed it in a single evening, yet it is more memorable than  any high production video produced in the last 20 years.  Bowie andd Jagger had hella charisma, and no matter what you think of their music, their presence is undeniable.

A bit different to most of what has been posted... but seriously, this guy is mental.

It's a cymbalum or cimbalom he's playing, in case anyone is interested.
An operatic soprano raps and sings atonal music, advertising jingles, political slogans, and "elevator" music, and a children's choir sings jingles and holiday songs.

Got to this via the "Country Music that is Good" thread, which I was consulting because the very IDEA of alt-country is one that I'd long ago fallen in love with.  Here's  Uncle Tupelo playing "Now I Wanna Be Your Dog."

Don't hate but this video makes me laugh everytime.

The part with the hot dog is a little weird and after the squirrel takes the shots and the champagne bottle goes all over the glass is creepy too.

I'm pretty sure they made the whole thing on a 1980's 8 or 16bit computer.  crazy cheap but creative as i've ever seen.

Back in Febuary misconception posted a video of a guy who can beatbox while playing flute.

This is him jamming with a cellist. It is amazing.

Have you ever wanted to dance along to the Pipettes but didn't feel confident in your moves?

Worry no more!

Thank you everyone for making my work day more entertaining!

I want more over-the-top metal videos, because those are absolutely fabulous.

The Birthday Party - Junkyards (live)
- I normally don't use the word 'badass', but this vid certainly is. No wave from the early 80's.

Neurosis - Locust Star (live)
- Very experimental metal, extremely well performed and one of the best metal songs ever.

Swans - Cop
- Swans defined brutal music with songs like these. The video is very weird, but if you understand the message behind it, the music just gets better. Song made in '84, genre is no wave/post-industrial.

It's disgusting. It's gross. It's tastless.

But that doesn't stop it from being damn funny and a damn good song.

David_Dovey

No the fact that it's lacking basically everything which makes music fun to listen to stops it from being a damn good song.

...Sigur Rós have some beautiful video clips...

The vids tend to make it into the live show, too... my college paper sent me to see them in the tour for ( ) and it was awesome - the venue was almost empty, and they put on this huge video show with their performance. Not really awesome for them, i guess, but still a cool experience.

Man that Daft Punk video is awesome, don't know why but it caught my eye as I scanned the page - fantastic.
