Naw, I'm just fuckin' with you, he's still doing prog rock on lithium.  His track that didn't make it onto Illinois, Dear Mr. Computer available here.  (I read Pitchfork, so you don't have to!)

I liked it, but then it's not much of a departure from what did make it onto Illinois, and I loved Illinois.  I'm a little disturbed, though, that the chorus sounds exactly like Hard 'n Phirm's Pi Song.

Whaddya think?

The letter "l" confuses and enrages me.  I always get tons of "l"s in scrabble, but llllllllll is not a word.  Also, it kind of looks like a 1 or a I or even that wierd-ass stripey ascii character.

. . .

Sorry, but I have this compulsive bandwagon jumping habit . . . and sometimes it gets out of control.

I think that prog rock isn't really a proper moniker for his music. I like prog, and I like Sufjan Stevens, but no. Elements of prog are present, sure, but still.
