So, do you listen to music while studying?

I normally do, otherwise I become distracted by ambient noises.
I generally listen to either Post Rock of the lively variety (Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai, etc) or electronic (Avalanches, Royksopp , etc) although !!! are also a nice choice which helps keeping me awake.

The only music I can listen to while studying is post-rock or jazz.  Otherwise I become utterly distracted.  Which is why most of the time I don't listen to anything at all.

Rubby:
You didn't give an option for no music. I rarely listen when I study, but if I do it's usually some piano arrangements or something.

I usually don't listen to music either.  It can be distracting.  When I really need to shut out other noise, I just listen to anything instumental.  Doesn't really matter the genre.  I just can't be lured into singing along with things.
