So I got 5 free songs on iTunes from my father-in-law. I'm torn as to how to use them. There are a number of albums that I want, but I already know I want them, and if they're long enough it doesn't make sense to buy the tracks individually even with up to 5 being free.

I'm trying to find some gems out there on otherwise skippable albums. Any recommendations? It's free, so I'll give a listen to about anything, spare no genre.

I recently heard a band called Roma 79 on the Pandora site and was quite smitten by the song "4MO1".  It's a bit long and on the emo-prog side, but I quite enjoy it.  Let's say it's a very well-constructed song. :)

Can you get an episode of Scrubs for that? I would.

Random questions unrelated to the thread.

1. Why do 50% of forum goers here have cat avatars?

2. lazarus, is you handle your name or biblical reference? I just ask cause my best friend is a Lazarus and it isn't exactly a common name.

I would've had a few more if iTunes' selection wasn't so horrible, but here are a couple that they have:

John Cage - In a Landscape
Miles Davis - Summertime
Steve Reich - Piano Phase

I don't know if they'd have it, but look for the song "No Backstage Pass" by Caravan. It is, as requested, an absolute gem on an otherwise passable album.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

50% of us don't have cat avatars... just 50% of the cool people do. 0% cat avatar people are uncool.

Edit: Get the Cuban cover of Nowhere Man.

Baaaah? I AM PROVEN WRONG.

Honestly, I haven't really searched on there for Motorhead in the past few weeks.

Talking before researching on my behalf. heh. Props, Apple!

Then again, the Australian Itunes store doesn't have any Skyclad or TISM. Its one of those compromises.
