Since when has how a singer looks have anything to do with talent?
I dont mind Panic! too much....while completly vapid and annoyingly repetitive in their lyrics and music respectivly, I think that if you took the singer away and put him with some people who arent talentless bozos, you would have a great sounding band.
SInger sounds good, band sounds bad, not a good combo.

Dude, you can't tell her that you have nothing against her current taste but then say actually your taste is better for *these* reasons.
The ironic thing about your post was the complete hypocrisy.
And remember not all of us like indie and do not think it's the be all and end all of music.
My suggestions for music that you might like given your taste for mallcore:
Converge, Blood Brothers, older AFI, Shai Hulud, ZAO, 3 Inches Of Blood, Nine and The Bronx.
They range from chaotic post hardcore to punk hardcore to metalcore.
You might just like.

I think judging from her current tastes someone needs to get her an Epitaph Records sampler and the G7 Welcoming Committee compilation CD. Get some legit and semi-legit punk into her system.
