I think the problem is that we don't like bands and our knee-jerk reaction is "FCUKIN EMOTAL BANDS GHUAHUHUHRWOAAAAAAAAAAAAR" and this is worse than "I am not a fan, no. But try 'x' band" which some people have been doing above to some success.

I do not like Bullet For My Valentine, and I am not enough into their scene to recommend a band to you that would sound similar but I like. I'm sure such a band exists though.

Bullet have only become big because British rock media wanted a British band to challenge Trivium. They both suck.
