yeah, i'll be in japan until next april, actually.

i've seen that show before! basically they torture you one way or another and if you make any sound at all then you get punished. the japanese sense of humor is so great sometimes. television here is wonderful even if you don't understand japanese at all. even the commercials are excellent. ^_^

and yes... it appears that you can buy it on dvd. i think i've seen it in a couple of the dvd stores around here too.

Thanks for that, I'm checking it out :)  $60 for one set of DVDs when theyre looks to be 7 of them seems a bit much, but at least I know they exist & the option is there.

And yes, the humour is so weird, but also awesome.  There is another one here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYues60WwmE called the "No reaction" game.  Basically a dude has to walk around a house and do what a voiceover tells him to do while the rest of the crew throw cream pies at both him and whatever he's trying to interact with, and the dude can't react to the cream pies.  In some places it's goddamn hilarious.

Also, gonna move this into the TV section & rename it to the name of the show.
