Kai:
Exactly. Those fuckers are sharp.

HOW THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT?
Its a godamn E string, they dont do that.

What kind of strings were you using and what size?

Seriously, I've only broken two strings ever on bass.  They were both G's, and they both just fell limp on breaking.  There's no way there's enough tension on them to whip a string with that much mass.

Also, my question about playing chords with muted strings still stands.

E. Spaceman:
I don't think you could play them, unless there's some kind of button for it.

Houdinimachine:
Man... there are a lot of people being unbelievably rude and prickish in this thread to someone who was just trying to be a little experimental. That's totally uncalled for guys. Loosen up. Stop being so anal.

I would LOVE to see what a laser guitar would look like (especially if they already make them.). I don't see any reason for regular guitarists to feel so threatened by laser guitars if it's supposedly so inferior. Let laser guitarists do their thing and you do yours.

Me? I'll go play keyboard and listen to the Muppets singing "Movin' Right Along."
