Damn, there were some good Electabuzz cards. I made a deck that used some Electabuzz (I think from a Gym series booster), Zapdos, and Chansey.
Electabuzz gets discarded energy cards and transfers them to Zapdos, who spends most of the time on the front lines on account of his fighting resistance, and hits for either 60 with possibly 30 damage or 100 for a finish, discarding the energy cards on Zapdos. Use a Dragonite (?) to step in, retreat him (lower retreat cost), send Electabuzz back in. Use Chansey (I'm not sure what set) to collect any damage that accumulates on Zapdos and then heal it. Oh, man, good times.

We never played the game with the cards. We just collected them for the shinys. I remember selling all mine to someone just before the went out of fashion. £15 seemed like a lot of money then.
