Lodger - Floozy With an Uzi

Very good song with excelent lyrics.

"Just a floozy with an Uzi
Just a girlie with a gun
When I could have been a model,
And I should of been a nun.

I'll lose my blues, in some Jacuzzi
Life's just a lotta clean fun.
For a floozy with an Uzi,
For a girlie, with a gun. "

A Johnny Cash cover of Nick Cave and the Badseeds' The Mercy Seat. It's been a long time since a song has given me that chill down my back and made me stop dead and just stare into the blank black pixels on my desktop just dwell on it.

I really have to retrieve my cd copy of Trout Mask Replica from a friend's place.

[edit] while I'm here, could someone please ysi a copy of the original Nick Cave and the Badseeds' The Mercy Seat? My 'no best ofs' rule hurts sometimes and I can't find the album it's from anywhere.

Decemberists Decemberists Decemberists. Decemberists. Perfect for both shaking of booty and doing of homework.

Also, the Strokes. I'm very sad that the Strokes are out of vogue these days. Very very sad. They are excellent for working out to.

The Angelic Process - Million Year Summer

Devastating. Utterly devastating.

Due to a massive hold up at Decaying Sun I am probably gonna receive Coma Waering and Weighing Souls With Sand at roughly the same time.
Drone metal overload!

Freaking amazing band! Admittedly Million Year Summer hasn't impressed as much as the songs off Coma Waering, but I'll wait until I've got the record in my stereo, playing at a really loud volume before I pass Judgement.

If you haven't got any Angelic Process records, you're in for a great surprise. Crippled Healing in particular is an excellent song, but everything on the album is really solid. They have great song titles too.

Anyway, I'm listening to THe Field- Everyday. Really loving this.

I am listening to "The Hypothesist" by Novillero
This song makes me smile.  I really like the clapping and snapping.  Overall it is one of my favorite songs at the moment!
The band is also really good and always makes me happy!

True, but I think Million Year Summer is as good as Crippling Healing. I like that ethereal somewhat gothy vibe I get from it. I think the My Bloody Valentine comparison is quite apt. On related note, The coverart for Weighing Souls With Sand is absolutely gorgeous. I preordered it from The End Records.

I'm listening to Fergie's album The Dutchess. Some of these tracks make "London Bridge" seem like pure musical gold.

UPDATE: I couldn't do it, I stopped after the song after London Bridge. It was just too awful.

Therion - Der Mitternachtslöwe

In the end of time, in times of revelation
lion from the north appear in the dark nation
Löwe aus der Mitternacht
tear down the curtain of Paroketh
Ecce vicit Ariel
Break the seal and make the Lion rise

The lyrics fly way over my head (something to do with one of Thomas Karlsson books I  think)

but they still sound amazing, I love how they mix the two different female singers.

It's true Bergtatt is amazing it's my second favorite Black Metal album, behind Filosofem and slightly above Under a Funeral Moon and Nachthymnen.

Kapitel II - Soelen Gaaer Bag Aase Ned is my favorite track from it. just because of the beauty that is that flute...

Windir - Sognariket Sine Krigarar

If anyone has a chance to get the Windir DVD get it, it's amazing.
