As I try and frequent as many good concerts as my budget will allow I have noticed that I am a sucker for some good band merch, mostly t-shirts/ hoodies and the like. My favorits include a "glow-in-the-dark" Arcade Fire t-shirt and a Hold Steady hoodie with the word "hoodrat" across the front in gothic lettering. Your favorites?

any cheapo t-shirts that I can get ahold of. I generally can't afford more than like $5-$10, so it's a good thing I really only go to punk shows.

- Long sleeve Absu - Highland Tyrant Attack shirt.
- A Dillinger Escape Plan Claculating Infinity t-shirt.
- At The Gates logo t-shirt with Syd Barrett quote on the back.
- Rage Against The Machine logo t-shirt (for old times sake).
- Orphaned Land "Hha" t-shirt.
- Led Zeppelin USA tour 1977 t-shirt.
- Opeth - Blackwater Park t-shirt.

I have more metal t-shirts but those are my favorites. I'm really a sucker for bands shirts, even though I rarely wear them. I'm planing to trade an MDB shirt for an Anathema shirt from a friend.
I would kill for a SunnO))), Boris and Agalloch shirts.
I also want to kill anyone wearing those cheap Iron Maiden t-shirts. DEAR GOD MAKE THEM STOP.

I'm easily pleased, I like stickers and badges, I can't usually afford tshirts but if its someone I really like then yeah I'll get one, usually £10, any more and I object.
My friend bought me an All Our Endless Days LP at the Iron & Wine show which was pretty expensive, made me squeel. :)
Luckily I get free tshirts occasionally cos of working at a venue.
Actually I was just sorting out my closet the other day and found I have ten shirts from bands, six of which are black, but I don't actually wear them all that much.

I actually don't have many band t-shirts. Mostly because they're expensive and I feel like a tool when I wear them.

That being said.

- Primus - Hallucino Genetics Tour 2004 (totally got this at the show, was an amazing show.)
- Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
- I have a shirt with a Zappa quote on it, I guess that counts.
- My Makeshift Impaled Northern Moonforest shirt.

that's about it.

I have shirts from Wolf Parade, Stars, Death Cab for Cutie (though I'm not that big a fan) and Van Halen.  Van Halen definately is slightly out of place.

Sorry, but it's too awesome for that, even if it is a tad large.  It has a flaming VH on the front, and then VAN HALEN KICKS ASS on the back, in big fiery letters.  It's pretty sweet.

i have a The Faint shirt with a deer-looking cartoon on it, an NIN shirt from their last tour (which was way overpriced, but it was an awesome show, so i don't care), and a Muse shirt from the tour from last spring. usually, i'll just buy a cd i don't have or just try like hell to catch a drumstick if they throw them, haha.

I'm kind of with Gryff on this one. Like, to each his own, but what the hell, man?

Anyways. I'm wearing a pretty cool pre-Southern-Gothic-insane-Jack-White White Stripes T-shirt with two pandas on it right now. I also own:

Belle Orchestre green tee
Metric "Empty" black tee
The Elected brown tee
Sylvie tee (local band - there is an octopus involved on this shirt)
Arcade Fire black tee w/ glow-in-the-dark design
Arcade Fire "Cold Wind/Brazil" 7-inch
The Constantines "Tournament Of Hearts" vinyl

I probably forgot some other ones. And I used to own a sweet Weakerthans shirt but it VANISHED, presumably to the same place as my Mars Volta t-shirt which I got to wear once. Sigh.

I guess I should also, y'know, contribute to the thread or some junk. I have a few band tees, but my favourite is my Sonic Youth "War is Bogus" shirt that I got when I saw the Auckland date of their 2004 tour. That's my favourite t-shirt full stop. One of my favourite gigs, too.

Also, I just notice I forgot to mention my awsome Paradise Lost - Darconian Times shirt era 1995. Paradise Lost only make shirts when a new album is realesed. So shirts from their older (and better) albums are pretty hard to get.
I'm pretty sure my copy is a fake, but its still awsome to just have it. Even if its way to wrecked to be worn (it has been around for at least 10 years, I actually met by mistake one of the dudes that owned it).

Also also, E. Spaceman, surrender those Mogwai shirts to me and no one gets hurt.

Goddamnit, I want a Draconian Times tee. :(

My favourite band t-shirt is probably my VNV Nation "Matter and Form" one, just 'cos the design is so badass. I also have a My Dying Bride "The Dreadful Hours" hoodie which I love to bits because it's so comfortable and wear constantly during the winter. I also wear my Mew t-shirt lots, picked that up for about £5 when they played the Louisiana in Bristol. Again, it just looks cool.

Got a few more around the place that I rarely wear, including M'era Luna and Infest festival shirts from last year, gonna start collecting those each year I think.

When I'm feeling less lazy and figure out how, I'm gonna make a Thievery Corp T-shirt using a stencil of the picture I cropped down for my avatar (from their official site).

i almost bought a spacemen 3 t-shirt in scotland recently but it had some lame slogan on the back that would have fitted on a marilyn manson hoody. it was some balls along the lines of "living in the fucked up world you created" or something. it was a shame, i would have liked that shirt.

Could that be the "For all the fucked up children, we give you Spacemen 3" one? I've been meaning to get that one.

I typically don't buy many T-shirts at gigs, but when I saw TISM on their White Albun tour I saw a shirt left over from their previous tour that I just had to have. It's pretty much a white tshirt with black sleeve/neck rings, "SAVE OUR TISM" written on the front, and a bunch of bastardized quotes on the back:

"Never in the field of human conflict have so few donated money to TISM" - W.Churchill

"Well we may say God Save The Queen. Because nothing will save our TISM" - W. "Gough" Whitlam

"The Horror! The Horror! The horror of not donating!" - J. Conrad

"Excuse me While I Kiss this guy!" J. Hendrix. (transcriped from the recording of Purple Haze. Some inaccuracies may have occoured"

And so on down the back of the tshirt. The concert the tshirt is originally from is on the White Albun DVD as well, and it is some weird-arse telethon or something.

Its a pity I started wearing it as a work shirt, because it wound up more or less ruined, but I covered it in fake blood, wore it to the Zombie Walk, and still wear it around the house sometimes, red stains and all.

okay, want to know one of the worst things i've ever done?

i was working in a bar last year and one of the barmaids had like two miles to walk home at 3am so i encouraged her to stay at my place instead since it is right near the bar. we had a couple of drinks and we fell asleep on my bed. after a while i realised she was up and about looking through my cupboard for something to wear rather than just her skivvies. only being half awake i fail to notice that she has chosen to wear my proudest possession, a 1991 slint t-shirt.

she gets into bed again and i'm forced into male quantum logic which goes along the lines of -

priority - must protect very fragile 1991 slint t-shirt from being reduced to ash.
immediate threat - pretty blonde estonian girl currently wearing it.
logical action - she will remove hallowed garment if you engage in the sexing.

i had sex with a girl to protect my 1991 slint t-shirt.
you see it's shit like this that has left me with no friends.

You rock to a degree that I have never seen before, really that's just fantastic stuff.

I have an awesome Go! Team t-shirt that I bought at a gig back in January.  It's bright red, and it has a tiger's head on the front, snarling in sort of half-profile.  There's a white strip across the tiger's eyes, in which "THE GO! TEAM" is written in scratchy lettering.  The back of the t-shirt is blank.

I'm probably going to make my own DI6 shirt at some point in the not-too-distant future. It will have a massive Whiphand-6 logo on the front, and on the back 'LIBERTE C'EST UN REVE' flanked by grinning deathsheads.

My faves:

Bal-Sagoth - Oracle of War longsleeve (unfortunately this is made of some fabric with the rough consistency of tissue paper. At some point I need to cut out all the pictures with a sharp knife and basically sew them onto a new shirt, as they seem to be the only parts of the bloody thing that will stay together)
Bathory - Octagon
Ephel Duath - The Painters Palette (Only problem with this is it's a European large, and thus fits rather scene-tight on me. Unpleasant, as I'm not that slim.)
Halo of Flies - Ghosts of Our Fathers Awaken (home-made)
Impaled Northern Moonforest - Return of the Necrowizard (home-made)
Iron Maiden - Brave New World
Led Zeppelin - Hammer of the Gods (possibly the most shitting awesome shirt ever made)
Mortiis - The Smell of Rain
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Slayer - Smell the Stench of Immortality (I've seen people look at it and immediately cross themselves. Fab.)

I'm also definitely buying a Wacken Open Air Black Stage shirt when I get there.

Apart from t-shirts, which I buy only really when I need new t-shirts, my favourite item of band merch is my 20 year old Anti-Nowhere League 'I Hate People' patch. I got favoured customer status in a local shop just for buying it. The guy had literally had it in stock without being bought since 1985. Other patches on my jacket which I like greatly are my 'classic' Bathory one with the baphomet (to which I have added 'RIP' in white paint), A small Dead Kennedys 'Too Drunk to Fuck' patch and a Heaven Shall Burn era Marduk group photo one.

Please don't put any Hilary Duff on the mixtape. I can only take so much shitty music, I mean I like Rihanna but that is only because she rips off Soft Cell like whoah! But I draw the line at Hilary Duff.

Anyway I have one piece of merchandise, largely because I am poor and use the money on albums instead:

Kashmir(danish mainstream rockband) - No Balance Palace poster (at a pretty good show last year).

Shit! Just mailed it. There's only one song and it's the last one though, and is only there because of it's title.

My family will want blood money though.
