Peaches, Bauhaus, NIN rocked my face off, says local Hobo.

Of course, it's fine when the Beach Boys sing about two girls for every boy. Heaven forbid Peaches should challenge the societal dominance of male heterosexual fantasies by expressing a fantasy that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Let me just say, for the record, I am not supporting that song or even anything done by the Beach Boys at all.

Damn skippy

Did Peter Murphy hang upside down while performing Bela Lugosi's Dead? Did he did he did he??!!! (oh gawd I can't wait to see them 2 more days) I passed on the Toronto Nin show in favor of Bauhaus locally, but I think Peaches may rock it for her home crowd. I saw NiN in Cleveland last year & was pretty disappointed. Could have been the bad seating or Trent signaling for everyone to clap along.  Burn on the setlist gets the thumbs up from me though.

Peaches lyrics are intentionally over the top to combat the double standards  that exist in society. Probably wouldn't be a problem to most if performed by a male, but frowned upon when a female reverses the role a bit.  I find it funny a male would complain about a girl with such a strong libido, isn't that what we want? (that & to be held of course lol)....As for her albums, I would recommend Teaches of Peaches, some pretty great work with the ol Groovebox in my opinion

ProphetHobo:
I don't know the titles of any of the Bauhaus songs, just getting into them at the start of the concert. But if you mean the thing where he leans forward and brings his arms up and looks like a bat, then yeah. If you mean something else, sorry, I dunno.

Personally, I don't enjoy lyrics like that whether the singer has a cock or a vagina, I prefer stuff with deeper meaning than that. However, if the song is good, I can overlook the lyrics and enjoy it anyway. This was the case with Peaches, and is as such the case with songs like Closer.

Rubby:
The thing is however, most Peaches material has much more "deeper meaning" then Trent could ever hope for. People often fail to understand that sad != deep.

It's kinda hard to miss the song title. You know. since he says "BELA LUGOSI'S DEAD.. .DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD" quite a few times. For like, 9 minutes.

Also, I haven't listned to Peaches ever, but they sound pretty awesome. I will have to check them out.
