Sleeping Music?

(1/10) > >>

Ian the Terrorist:
What music do you listen to to go to sleep?  I have found that Death Cab works quite well, for obvious reasons.  A few other artists that have helped me sleep (for I am a raging insomniac) are the Decemberists and David Bowie.

But, the all-time greatest band to listed to while going to sleep is DragonForce.  I have no idea how they helpe me to fall asleep, but they do.

Of course, DragonForce may be the greatest band to listen to while doing anything.

cTony:
hmm. Interestingly, when i end up programming all night/early morning long, i don't know why, but i end up always putting on DragonForce and David Bowie.
lol, maybe im secretly trying to maske myself sleep?
Maybe Godsmack would do as the singing tone stays quite constant ...
One things for sure .. NOT Alice in Chains; The repeating patterns that seem to make their best songs would keep me from going to sleep.

La Creme:
Secret Machines
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - Sunflower
Ginger Baker Trio
Pinback's "Blue Screen Life"
Sufjan Stevens
The Beatles' "Rubber Soul"
Lee Morgan - Search For The New Land
Architecture In Helsinki

etc.

books_out_loud:
julie london
the last song on 'aeroplane'
iron and wine
feist
the kings of  convenience

Melodic:
I second Death Cab for Cutie. Gibbard's voice lulls me to sleep better than NyQuil, so that is also a vote for The Postal Service. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah puts me to sleep really quickly, too. I think I get hypnotized by the vocals.
