i believe that after 50 years copyright expires so they can moan as much as they want but...

I just remember that a version of O fortuna led to court and that led to the removal of the CD from stores. All because the heirs just wouldn't let the thing be used. Was a bit back, though ... but surely it's older than 50 years?

ah, it's copywritten till 50 years after the death of the maker. and orff died in 1982 source
