--- Quote from: Storm Rider ---Iced Earth isn't really power metal, but they are awesome.

Yeah, but he should be familiar with them if he likes Demons and Wizards.

Maedros:
I've got some of their music, yeah. Some of my friends are huge Iced Earth fans, so they got me into them. Sort of into them, at least.

Scytale:
I haven't really listen to Power metal for a few years but here's the Essential Power Metal albums for me:

Accept - Restless and Wild

Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell (Dio = \m/)

Helloween - Walls of Jericho (One of the greatest power/speed metal albums ever) /  Keeper of the Seven Key's parts I and II

Scanner - Hypertrace

Running Wild - Under Jolly Rodger (pirates and speed metal huzzah)

Blind Gaurdian - Battalions of Fear / Follow the Blind / Somewhere Far Beyond

Nightwish - Oceanborn (female vocalist)

Gamma Ray - Somewhere out in Space / Powerplant

Hammerfall - Renegade

Heavenly - Dust to Dust

Angel Dust - Bleed / Enlighten the Darkness

--- Quote from: Maedros ---Ok, so I'm a huge fan of HammerFall, DragonForce, Sonata Arctica, Demons & Wizards and Luca Turilli and I'm looking for more. What would you guys recommend?
--- End quote ---

Sonata Arctica?  Well, you could always try Finland's other power metal icon, Stratovarius.  Or Nightwish, if you want to call them power metal and not symphonic metal.

There's a German band, Freedom Call, I've seen 'em live and they're good.

And yes, give Kamelot a listen.

Maedros:
Yeah, I've just started to get into Stratovarious. I'll check out those other bands you guys posted, thanks. :)
