Whats your favorite webcomic and why?
PenguinNinja1408:
Hmmm... all-time favorite would have to be Sam and Fuzzy (don't kill me!). It introduced to webcomics and it has some really good dialogue. I even quoted it in my college essays...
Coming after Sam and Fuzzy are Ctrl + Alt + Del, VG Cats, and Questionable Content (not necessarily in that order XD)... I used to like Megatokyo, but I sort of stopped caring about the characters... might pick it up again in a month or so when I need distractions from AP classes...
Cexy:
My favourite comic by far is xkcd, because it appeals to my inner science geek (and to my outer math geek, come to think of it...) but I'm also a fan of QC (appeals to my inner indie geek) and to Order of the Stick (appeals to my inner D&D geek).
Other things that I read are Cyanide & Happiness, Wondermark, A Softer World and PhD (Piled Higher and Deeper) which are all lovely.
TheBoredOne:
I've found some more webcomics recently, that I've been checking regularly!
Sidekick Girl
Someone here plugged it, and I got hooked :P
Nineteenth Century Industrialist
This is just some crazy stuff, about a dopey/greedy/evil 19th Century Industrialist, who somehow exists in present time. Colonel Earth and protesters and whatnot keep trying to shut him down. Also the pope and Uncle Sam make appearances.
The Mows
This one is about the author's cats, and what they think and how they interact with eachother. There are a ton of simple-minded, innocent observations about the world that are hilarious.
jimbunny:
Penny Arcade
Megatokyo
Questionable Content
...and A Softer World. It got mentioned once on the first page, but it needs to be said again. This comic (calling it a 'comic' doesn't feel quite right, though) does something the likes of which I see nowhere else. Moments of sheer brilliance that go well beyond humor.
here's a sample (picked a spot at random in the archives and went forward a bit until I found a good one):
MusicScribbles:
If I were to just name comics, this would be a lot simpler. So, I won't be giving many reasons as to why I like these comics. I just do.
VGCats
Penny Arcade
Achewood
Perry Bible Fellowship
Dr. McNinja
xkcd
A Softer World
MegaTokyo
Sam and Fuzzy
Questionable Content
Stuff Sucks
Dresden Codak
and Rice Boy
Rice Boy needs a lot more pluggin'. It is a fantastic comic with an overarcing storyline that is unique in its own way. By unique I mean the world it is set in is so whimsical that I cannot help but love it. The art helps a lot though.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, please, someone read Rice Boy. http://riceboy.jho-tan.com/
I am not blogging!
