drawing program?

hey all!  i'm looking to find a cheap cheap cheap program similar to photoshop or at least something i can draw with.  i'm talking...no more than $100.  any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  thanks in advance!

What kind of drawing?

At work at the moment I'm using a program called Paint.NET.  It's kind of like a step between MS Paint and Photoshop, and it's free.

You could also use the Gimp, but I have some problems with its UI (ie: I think it's goddamn ugly and clunky).

They are both free, so check those out before you go buying something you may not need.  If you actually want to start drawing properly and want a dedicated app then maybe these aren't for you (especially in the long run), but maybe they'll do for now.

I'll second The Gimp. It might have a bit of a clunky interface (not that bad anymore though) but it is quite powerful.

is a thingy for the GIMP that makes it work like photoshop (changes menus and suchlike)
