I've been kicking this around the IRC for a while now, and this thread probably isn't for people who haven't heard about this yet. Unless you really really wanna join in.

Basically, the user we know as Static is mental. Completely batshit. So what a couple of people on the IRC, gabbly and just here on the forums have decided to do is start the song of Static's Insanity. But! There are rules.

1. If you play an instrument really well, FORGET IT. We want people playing instruments they barely even knew they owned! Think makeshift, junkyard, hey there's some spoons right there let's play those.

2. You kind of really need a microphone. People are often "oh yeah sure I'll do that." then an hour later remember they have no mike-a-phones at all.

3. You must play in vaguely the same key as the stuff has gone before, and try and fit it together, so even though the end result is odd, it is at least coherent.

4. Solos MUST be CRAZY and AWESOME. Even if they are triangle solos.

5. No more electric penises. We already have someone playing one of those, and I don't think they can harmonise with each other.

6. You probably have to sing. Even if you KNOW you can't.

Apart from that, dig out whatever instrument you didn't even know you owned, spend a brief while getting used to it, not too long mind, and then rock out. Entries for the song have to be in by the 13th august, we're hoping for a definite September release date, PM me for my email to send your entries to, preferably detailing precisely what it is you can't play and whether or not you are singing.

So, if you can play every instrument you own with a degree of confidence, and learn fast, you're basically screwed?
