Noise Rock and Such

(1/10) > >>

Unosuke:
I've been listening to some what I believe to be noise rock, and I'm looking for some more stuff along the same vein

examples:
Blur - Bugman
Neutral Milk Hotel - Holland, 1945
Lightning Bolt

I dunno, I guess I just like the sound of over distorted guitars.

Kai:
Smegma.

SpacemanSpiff:
Black Dice
Rapeman (you really have to check them out, especially their ZZ Top cover)
mclusky
The Jesus Lizard
Big Black
XBXRX
Guitar Wolf (in case you're listening to them, turn down your volume or it will ruin your equipment. Seriously. Their records don't comply with standards and are just too loud.)

Technically, one could also call bands such as The Locust noise. But that's stretching things a bit.

El Opium:
Besides fully endorsing all of the bands previously mentioned I must add the following bands-they are roughly arranged in order of the amount of distortion used and how shit-fi their recordings are:
Sonic Youth
The Jesus and Mary Chain (Just the Psychocandy album)
Suicide
The "No New York" compilation
The Cherubs
Loop
Flipper
The Psychic Paramount
Yellow Swans
Skullflower
Sightings
Monoshock
The Futurians
Gang Wizard
Magik Markers

Misereatur:
White Mice
