Metalcore = Hardcore metal?

Note that lots of peeps don't agree with isktur's guide, but it serves as a good rule of thumb.

I'm pretty sure that anyone on a message board like this, when discussing hardcore, is not talking about any form of dance music or otherwise.  

Also, 7 Angels 7 Plagues and End This Day (and to a lesser extent, early Dead to Fall) pretty much founded the midwest metalcore scene, in my opinion.
